Abstract

Inflammation affects all ocular tissues including the crystalline lens. Cataract formation, a potentially reversible cause of vision impairment, is one of the most common complications seen in all forms of uveitic diseases. This chapter explores the factors contributing to cataractogenesis, the surgical indications, preoperative considerations, intraoperative surgical techniques, and postoperative complications and management.
