Abstract

During the last two decades, the concept of sustainable development has gained more and more importance to start rebuilding our society and living conditions for the welfare of everyone. However, this initiative cannot be developed by its own and needs the support of different areas and new strategies, technologies, and developments. Therefore, it is a big tendency for studies and projects of practitioners and academics connecting Industry 4.0 with sustainable development. In this context, this paper presents a bibliometric analysis of scientific papers relating and analyzing sustainability and Industry 4.0, taken from Scopus Database. Our research shows some interesting results of the direction and trends regarding the integration of sustainable development and Industry 4.0, the leading countries, the main authors and the most relevant topics.
