Abstract
This chapter sketches Hegel’s intellectual biography, examining the most formative periods of his life and those decisive events, which had significant impact on the development of his philosophical thought. The aim is to explore links between Hegel’s life, philosophical ideas, and a specific intellectual context that together can illuminate the thinker in his world and his scholarly interactions with his surroundings.
