Abstract
This chapter will include most important anatomical landmarks and differential diagnosis of mediastinal masses across various imaging modalities. The key questions included are common questions asked during the rotation as well as questions that will help differentiate disease processes that may look very similar at an initial glance. Many of the questions will include high-yield differential diagnosis for common findings in imaging.
The questions will include common cause of diffuse mediastinal widening, characterizing thyroid goiter on imaging, the optimum modality to diagnose mediastinal lipoma, and the differentials for retrocardiac mass, subcarinal cyst, neurogenic tumors of mediastinum, and many more.
