Abstract
Aspiration is defined. Risk factors, etiologies, and vulnerable patient populations for aspiration are discussed. Both acute and chronic aspirations are discussed, as are the sequelae thereof.
Specific imaging findings on both radiographic and cross-sectional imaging are discussed. Complications of aspiration, the treatment implications, and complicating imaging findings are explained. Pediatric-specific aspirations are touched upon.
