Abstract

This chapter reviews the peripheral nerve biopsy acquisition, specimen processing, and the interpretation of histopathological stains, semithin sections, and electron microscopy. Specific morphologic features that are commonly encountered in peripheral nerve biopsies are summarized, and their diagnostic implications are discussed.
