Abstract

Despite the best attempts to perform perfect laparoscopic surgery, there are a myriad of factors that can interfere with the intended procedure. These can include issues with port placement, equipment, patient physiology, exposure, and inadvertent injury. In this chapter, we explore a number of potential complications that will arise when performing laparoscopic surgery as well as strategies to troubleshoot these issues.
