Single Ventricle: General Aspects

  • Chapter
  • First Online:
Critical Care of Children with Heart Disease

Abstract

This chapter provides an overview of the very basic aspects of the diagnosis and management of patients with single ventricle anatomy or physiology. Specific chapters elsewhere in this book will further discuss the Fontan physiology and the hypoplastic left and right heart syndromes.
