Abstract
Prescribing medications is the most important and ultimate decision making in most pediatric outpatient and inpatient encounters. It is critical for all pediatricians to be familiar with all medications they are prescribing to their patients while taking into consideration appropriate dosing, absorption of medications, potential interactions with other drugs, possible side effects, monitoring of drug toxicities, and risks of drug abuse.
