Abstract

This paper describes experimental investigation of storage of the heat obtained from the solar thermal collectors. The storage unit contains both the sensible-heat medium (water) and the latent-heat medium (sodium-acetate-trihydrate as phase-change material, PCM). The measured temperature variations are compared with the case without the PCM. The effect of PCM in the storage, keeping the temperatures in the tank at nearly the same level, is observed.
