Abstract
Regenerative medicine holds unprecedented promise and potential for the treatment of chronic diseases. Increased understanding of the mechanisms of tissue repair, coupled with advances in technology, has resulted in increased integration of regenerative medicine in clinical practice. The chapter will provide a concise introduction on regenerative medicine concepts and the application of these therapies for specific disease entities.
