Abstract
In this chapter, the dermal melanocytosis group of lesions will be discussed. All of these lesions contain dendritic melanocytes with very fine cytoplasmic pigment, oval to round nucleus, and tiny dot-like nucleolus. They include Mongolian spot, nevus of Ota, blue nevus, and neurocristic hamartoma. The various variants of blue nevus include common blue nevus, plaque-like blue nevus, sclerosing blue nevus, epithelioid blue nevus, cellular blue nevus, cellular blue nevus with cystic change, atypical cellular blue nevus, and amelanotic cellular blue nevus.
