Abstract
Fluid, electrolyte, and acid–base disorders are frequently encountered in family medicine. Detecting and treating these disorders is imperative due to effects on organ perfusion (Fluid HJ, Family medicine (Taylor). Springer, New York, 2003). These disorders can be seen as a primary disease processes or related to other commonly seen medical issues. They can effect patients of all ages.
