Robotics in General Surgery

Abstract

Robotic-assisted microsurgery is currently being utilized for the treatment of male infertility and chronic groin and testicular pain. The advantages appear to include enhanced magnification, improved surgical efficiency, decreased tremor, and similar outcomes. This chapter covers robotic microsurgical application and techniques for vasectomy reversal, varicocelectomy, testicular sperm extraction, and denervation of the spermatic cord.
