Abstract
The objectives of Chinese agricultural policies are closely related to the strategy of industrialization. We have argued that agriculture cannot be totally sacrificed to support industrial development. In order to make the four contributions discussed in Chapter 5, agriculture itself needs sustainable and significant growth.
