Zusammenfassung

Haut- und Weichteilinfektionen sind aufgrund ihrer klinischen Ausprägung vielfältig und bieten von meist harmlosen, lokal begrenzten oberflächlichen Infektionen wie die Impetigo contagiosa oder Pyodermie bis zu lebensbedrohlichen Infektionen mit hoher Letalität wie die nekrotisierende Fasziitis oder Myonekrose einen breiten Fächer an Erkrankungen. Zur klinischen Einteilung hat sich eine Untergliederung bewährt, die Schweregrade aufgrund der Dringlichkeit einer chirurgischen Versorgung berücksichtigt. In diesem Kapitel werden neben allgemeinen Informationen die Besonderheiten insbesondere zu Management und Therapie der häufigsten Infektionen, aber auch seltener Infektionen behandelt.
