Zusammenfassung

Die akute Lungenembolie ist in der Mehrzahl der Fälle die Folge einer venösen Thromboembolie, der Einschwemmung von Thrombusmaterial in die Lungenstrombahn. Lungenembolien anderer Genese, z. B. durch Fremdsubstanzen, Tumorgewebe oder Fruchtwasser, werden hier nicht behandelt.
