Named in honor of Gabrielle Renaudot (1877–1962), later Mme. Camille Flammarion {see planet (1021)}, in recognition of her zeal as a student of astronomy and an observer at the Observatory of Juvisy {see planet (605)}. Later she was editor-in-chief of l’Astronomie, Laureate of the Académie des Sciences de France, and officier de la Légion d’Honneur. (H 39)
