Adonis was ordered by Zeus {see planet (5731)} to spend part of each year with Aphrodite and part with Persephone {see planet (399)}. He is regarded as a god of vegetation and of swine and was killed by a boar sent by Artemis {see planet (105)}. (M 4548)
