Jeantine de Heus (50) is verpleegkundig specialist kinderoncologie en kindercomfortzorg bij KinderThuisZorg, de grootste kinderthuiszorg- organisatie van Nederland. Daarnaast werkt ze bij het Sophia Kinderziekenhuis van het Erasmus MC. In haar werk begeleidt ze kinderen die een levensbedreigende en/of levensduurverkortende ziekte hebben. “Al toen ik 16 jaar was, wist ik dat ik dit werk wilde gaan doen.”
