Communications in Mathematics and Statistics
Communications in Mathematics and Statistics (CMS) is a comprehensive international journal which is published by Springer-Verlag in collaboration with the School of Mathematical Sciences of University of Science and Technology of China (USTC). The USTC is the only affiliated university of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), which owns worldwide reputation. The School of Mathematical Sciences (SMS,which was the Department of Mathematics before May 2011) was established by the well-known mathematicians: Prof. Loo-Keng Hua and Prof. Wen-Tsun Wu in 1958. Prof. Zhi-Ming Ma is the first dean of the SMS. We have a large number of outstanding alumni all over the world.
At present, the width and depth of the domestic mathematical researches are increasing, and the number of good manuscripts will also rise. However, the number of international mathematical journals in China is quite few.
The CMS is rare in China because it is a comprehensive journal covering variety of fields, e.g. pure mathematics, computational mathematics, applied mathematics and mathematical statistics, etc.
As a joint work of SMS and Springer-Verlag, the CMS has a simple but efficient management structure with high level.
In each volume, high-level frontier surveys will be published, to introduce the present advanced researches.
