Journal of Applied Volcanology
Journal of Applied Volcanology is a peer-reviewed open access journal published under the brand SpringerOpen. It is an international journal focused on multi-disciplinary applied research and the societal impacts of active volcanism. Research topics covered by the journal include understanding the impacts of volcanoes on communities; improving risk management and enhancing community mitigation, preparedness, response to and recovery from volcanic hazard events; development of analytical instruments and methods; new proxies and lab techniques; methods of observation; and tools and techniques for remote sensing.The journal plans special issues reflecting trends in volcanology and other related disciplines.
