Overview

Rendiconti del Circolo Matematico di Palermo is an international journal publishing original research papers on pure and applied mathematics.

  • Journal of the "Circolo Matematico di Palermo,” a non-profit organization founded by Gian Battista Guccia in 1884.
  • Subjects of interest include algebra, algebraic geometry, arithmetic geometry and number theory, calculus of variations, partial differential equations, ordinary differential equations, functional analysis, complex analysis, and applications of the above fields.
  • All submissions are refereed by an international editorial board of mathematicians.
  • Published in two series: series I, published between 1885 and 1941, and series II, published 1952 to present.

  • Special Issue: Fano Varieties

    'Rendiconti del Circolo Matematico di Palermo has decided to promote the realization of a number of high-level special thematic issues; among them, one in Algebraic Geometry, which they entrust to two distinguished algebraic geometers: Ciro Ciliberto and Gilberto Bini.  The theme for this issue is "Fano Varieties". This is  a very classical and venerable topic. According to Mori programme, these varieties are basic building blocks of algebraic varieties and therefore their knowledge is of the utmost importance for the classification. Their geometry is very rich and fascinating. This field is therefore always green, and in particular has seen in recent times spectacular developments. The best specialists in the field have been invited to contribute with a paper, that can either be a research or an expository one. The issue is planned to appear in 2023.

  • Call for Papers for Special Issue: Nonlinear Analysis & its Synergies (Submission Deadline March 15, 2022)

    This special issue is concerned with several modern research directions at the interplay between pure and applied nonlinear analysis. We welcome very good papers dealing with nonlinear problems driven either by differential equations or nonlocal fractional operators and considering the following topics:

    1. qualitative, quantitative and/or bifurcation analysis of solutions;
    2. blow-up and concentration properties of solutions;
    3. singular or degenerate phenomena;
    4. perturbation analysis and combined effects.

    Submission Deadline: March 15, 2022

    Guest Editor: Vicentiu Radulescu, Unviersity of Craiova & AGH University of Science and Technology

  • Special Issue: Rationality Problems

    The ''Rendiconti del Circolo Matematico di Palermo'' is a mathematical journal that has a long and great history. The Managing Editors want to revive it and wish to bring it again to the old splendor. In particular, they decided to promote the realization of a number of high-level special thematic issues; among them, one in Algebraic Geometry, which they entrust to two distinguished algebraic geometers: Ciro Ciliberto and Alessandro Verra.  The theme for this issue is ''Rationality Problems''. As it is well known, this is a very classical and venerable topic, that is however always green, and in particular has recently seen spectacular developments. The best specialists in the field will be invited to contribute with a paper, that could either be a research or an expository one. The issue is planned to appear in 2022.
