Plant Ecology
Description
Plant Ecology publishes original scientific papers that report and interpret the findings of pure and applied research into the ecology of vascular plants in terrestrial and wetland ecosystems. Empirical, experimental, theoretical and review papers reporting on ecophysiology, population, community, ecosystem, landscape, molecular and historical ecology are within the scope of the journal. The journal publishes peer-reviewed Research Papers (maximum length of 6000 words) and Research Communications (maximum length of 2500 words, maximum of four tables/figures), reviews and special issues by submission and by invitation. Long monographs (up to 9000 words) may be accepted by the Editor-in-Chief where a case is made by the authors in relation to work of the highest quality. Research Communications can report on any area within the Scope of the journal, but are particularly sought in relation to topical issues in plant ecology, especially pertaining to theory and methodology. The journal does not publish book reviews.
