Description

Marine Biotechnology welcomes high-quality research papers presenting novel data on the biotechnology of aquatic organisms. The journal publishes high quality papers in the areas of molecular biology, genomics, proteomics, cell biology, and biochemistry, and particularly encourages submissions of papers related to genome biology such as linkage mapping, large-scale gene discoveries, QTL analysis, physical mapping, and comparative and functional genome analysis. Papers on technological development and marine natural products should demonstrate innovation and novel applications. Please note: Marine Biotechnology will not consider papers which deal solely with cDNA cloning, gene cloning, cloning and characterizing of microsatellites, species identification using molecular markers, or EST papers with small collections (less than 2000), or mapping papers with a small number of markers, or papers describing development of cell lines, unless the papers also deal with functionality of genes, provide information on an important biological problem or are related to genome biology.
