Abstract
What we do affects how we see the world and what we believe in, and how we see the world and what we believe in affect what we do. Because we all have such different perspectives of and experiences in nature, the science of restoration ecology and the practice of ecological restoration often serve as screens onto which we project our personal philosophies and aesthetics and values and metaphors.
