Measurement and prediction of binary mixture flash point

Abstract

The flash points of three binary mixtures, containing n-heptane, o-xylene, m-xylene and ethylbenzene, were measured by Pensky-Martens closed cup tester. The experimental data were compared with the calculated values using Liaw’s Model with the application of Raoult’s Law and Wilson equation. These equations were in good qualitative agreement.
