Abstract.

An optical-model analysis of the 14C + 14C elastic-scattering data has been carried out in terms of optical potential with a deep real part. The angular distributions at a number of incident energies and the excitation functions at θcm = 70°, 80° and 90° in the 6 ⩽ Ecm ⩽ 35 MeV energy range have been described quite successfully.
