  • Published:
Kew Bulletin Aims and scope Submit manuscript

Summary

Impatiens kerinciensis from Mt Kunyit, West Sumatra, Indonesia, is newly described and illustrated. The species is characterised by a yellow flower with a red spot on the two lower petals and hairs on the lower sepal, the dorsal petal and the two lateral sepals. This combination of morphological characters was previously unknown. The species is considered local, rarely encountered, and clearly an endemic of Sumatra.
