Abstract

The probability P(ΔΔ) to find the ΔΔ component inside the deuteron, where Δ stands for the Δ(1232) resonance, is calculated in the Nambu-Jona-Lasinio model of light nuclei. We obtain P(ΔΔ) = 0.3%. This prediction agrees well with the experimental estimate P(ΔΔ) < 0.4% at 90% of CL (D. Allasia et al., Phys. Lett. B 174, 450 (1986)).
