Treatment of scapulohumeral periarthritis by massotherapy and functional exercise

Abstract

Purpose: To investigate the curative effect of massotherapy plus acupoint pressing and functional exercise on scapulohumeral periarthritis.Method: Forty-five patients with scapulohumeral periarthritis were selected and treated by massotherapy plus acupoint pressing and functional exercise.Results: Recovery occurred in 32 cases, marked effectiveness in 11 cases, effectiveness in 2 cases and ineffectiveness in 0 case, the total effective rate being 100%.Conclusion: Massotherapy plus acupoint pressing and functional exercise is an effective method for treating scapulohumeral periarthritis.
