Conclusions
The investigations established that the wave regime in the water area of a port with a single breakwater occurring under the effect of a long wave represents a complex picture of interaction of the incident wave and system of reflected waves.
Two characteristic modes of oscillation are ralized in the range of investigated values of parameter kb: longitudinal and transverse uninodal. The effect of nonlinearity increases at higher frequencies. It was established that the harbor resonates at the fundamental frequency when the ratio b/l=1–2 in the range of values kb=0.65–0.9.
The character and form of flooding depend on the mode of oscillation realized and they have a maximum size in resonance at the fundamental frequency.
