Abstract

An omni-directional periodic dielectric rod leaky-wave antenna operating in the TMoi mode is investigated. As an eigenvalue problem, the structure is analyzed theoretically with mode matching technique. The radiation characteristics of the antenna are calculated for different parameters with a particular attention directed to the Brewster angle effect on the performaces of the antenna; and some usefull guidelines for design of the antenna are thereby suggested.
