Zusammenfassung
Bei Verdacht auf eine pulmonale Erkrankung können besondere klinische Merkmale hilfreich sein, um eine Diagnose zu stellen. Besonders Lungenkarzinome können sich in vielfältigen paraneoplastischen Syndromen manifestieren. Auch wenn Tumormarker nur eine geringe Sensitivität und Spezifizität für das Lungenkarzinom haben, kann eine Bestimmung zur Verlaufsuntersuchung sinnvoll sein. Vielversprechen ist die „liquid biopsy“ als nichtinvasiver Tumornachweis.
