Definition
This lesion is a benign, exophytic, endobronchial tumor arising from the tracheobronchial seromucous glands. Mucous gland adenoma comprises mucous cysts and glands and papillae lined by a variety of cell types including oncocytes, clear cells, columnar cells of various sizes, and mucinous goblet cells (Figs. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6).
