Abstract
Initially, two focus groups were meant to be conducted, however having recruited five vocal patients, a second focus group was not required as research aims were met. Patients felt that having two focus groups held together, was practical and ensured no loss to follow-up. The justification for this is that patients also felt it was better to develop the pathway at the end of the first focus group and apply all their ideas. The focus group ran for 1.5 h and was held in a private location at University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire. Five patients were recruited with no loss to follow-up. There were three White Caucasian patients, one British African and one British Asian patient. Due to only having one patients at the focus group, there was no risk of saturation bias [1].
