Abstract

Fibrohistiocytic lesions represent an assortment of soft tissue neoplasms in which the constitutive cells have histologic features of both fibroblasts and macrophages. The fibroblastic-appearing cells typically have elongated and spindled nuclei and are arranged in a streaming pattern (Fig. 6.1a). Cells with a more histiocytic appearance are less organized and have a “foamy” cytoplasm (Fig. 6.1b) [1].
