Abstract

Anaplastic thyroid carcinoma accounts for only 1–2% of all thyroid cancers. It is a very aggressive, highly malignant tumor that is most commonly seen in older people. The most common ultrasound features include solid mass, irregular margin, presence of cervical lymph node involvement, wider-than-tall shape, marked hypoechogenicity, and internal calcification.
