Abstract
Cross-border health is an important clinical model that has shown much development. Cross-border care can become very important in territories with specific characteristics, in which patients often require such care. But it is important that the clinical models are supported by adequate technological development. Enterprise resource planning (ERP) seems to be a suitable tool for the management of clinical information. It is important to note that the exchange of clinical information must be designed according to the needs of the clinicians and according to the technological opportunities. The model used in the development of the eCardionet Project described here is based on the concept of patient-centric care and on the technical layers dedicated to information exchange between hospitals.
