Abstract

Ayşe presents with a combination of the most common headache subtypes emphasizing the overlapping features. This case shows the importance of the headache diary in the diagnosis of headache disorders. Education and explanation of the diagnosis of headache subtypes are important steps of the management. Specific management of the headache subtypes should be included in prevention strategies including attention to life style. In order to prevent chronicity, complete early effective management and advice on potential comorbidities like obesity or psychiatric disorders are essential. This chapter addresses some coping strategies.
