Book cover Comprehensive Pain Management in the Rehabilitation Patient

Abstract

The purpose of this chapter is to present an overview of vascular procedures performed for pain. Dysvascular patients are frequently managed in the rehabilitation care continuum. Pain of vascular origin may be either acute or chronic, and results from arterial insufficiency, venous insufficiency, compression, or inflammation. The vascular etiologies of pain, surgical and medical management approaches, and related outcomes will be reviewed.
