Some Methodological Issues in Nursing Research

  • Chapter
Issues in Nursing Research

Abstract

It was not my intention to give a formal paper on the last day of our conference. I asked for 15 minutes to stimulate discussion on a variety of topics which relate to methodological issues. They are issues which have been exercising me for some time and which have confronted me in this and other countries; they also emerge from the literature. The issues may appear disparate and disjointed and in a way they are. However, they are interrelated, even if only by virtue of being concerned with research methodology and the building up of a body of knowledge in nursing.
