Abstract
This paper investigates the process by which teachers select educational and instructional resources, in particular those, which are broadcast to schools. In doing so it supports the aim of this conference, which is the search for quality in education, by drawing on evidence from ongoing MPhil/PhD work on effective information provision in teachers’ selection and use of television resources in schools. Although this work confines itself to the UK generally, and Scotland specifically, the issues raised could be of relevance to instructional media in a wider context.
