Abstract

Konstantin Vasilevich Frolov was an internationally appreciated scientist. He was one of the pioneers of vibration studies dealing with the influence of vibrations on machines and man. He devoted his life not only to scientific research but also to the promotion of the Russian (Soviet) Engineering School. He received a lot of high honors and awards in his Motherland and a great recognition abroad. He contributed to modern Mechanism and Machine Science through his work as an engineer, scientist, and as Director of the Institute for Engineering Science (IMASH RAS) named after A.A. Blagonravov in Moscow. The aim of the present text is to attract attention to this extraordinary personality in the year of the 80th anniversary of his birth birth.
