Summary
The control of the industrial motor transport process in open pits has a special importance in the present mine-preparation plants which greatly effects the efficiency of the entire mine-preparation process.
The present paper gives a general description of a system for operational control and check of, and account for the motor transport in open pits, developed in the Institute of Engineering Cybernetics at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences — ASTRA-71.
A number of devices, namely a specialized process control computer, address board units, data logging system, data input and output unit, keyboard for dispatcher/process control computer interaction, are described.
Possibilities of system operation with an incomplete amount of incoming information, in case of break-downs of some sensor stations are shown.
