Abstract

In this chapter, we present two kinds of bridges in the ODSD infrastructure, namely the transformation bridge and the integration bridge. We revisit the ontology reasoning services introduced in Chaps. 3 and 5. We show how they can be used, as key-enabling technologies, to support bridging technologies for combining ModelWare technological spaces and OntologyWare technological spaces. ModelWare technological spaces provide modelling languages, which are used for representing models or metamodels. The OntologyWare technological space provides the ontology language OWL 2 to design ontologies.Chapter 11 will show how an integration bridge presented in this chapter can be used to develop DSL editors for the domain engineering case studies discussed in Chap. 4.
