Abstract
This work concludes by focusing on the essential point of emergency management of victims of ocular chemical burns. In effect, responding to this type of injury is a race against the clock and necessitates polished and well-coordinated protocols. The various settings, workplace or domestic, by accident or criminal assaults, are analyzed and a practical management pathway is proposed for the organization of a true channel from the beginning to the end, which is achieved in a specialized ophthalmological setting. It is important to educate, to inform and, in the workplace or public health sector, it is legitimate to be equipped with some safety devices for appropriate first aid offering a specific, efficacious, and easy-to-use alternative to water decontamination. The utilization of active washing solutions can then be progressively substituted for out-dated universal recommendations for simple flushing with water, of which the present work, in its entirety, has shown the limitations.
