Abstract
There are a number of bacterial, viral and fungal skin disorders that are manifested as a cutaneous inflammatory process. Hidradenitis suppurativa is a chronic infectious process of the apocrine sweat glands. This process can extend into the surrounding subcutaneous tissue and fascia and is often intensely painful.
