Zusammenfassung

In diesem Beitrag sollen grundlegende klinisch-psychologische Strategien zur Behandlung der Generalisierten Angststörung vorgestellt werden, wobei vor allem auf die bei diesem Störungsbild besonders häufig auftretende Komorbidität zu achten ist, die einen Komplikationsfaktor im Rahmen des therapeutischen Geschehens darstellen kann. Bedeutsame Fortschritte für die Behandlung brachten die Erkenntnisse hinsichtlich der Bedeutung der Sorgen, der mentalen Kontrolle, der Meta-Sorgen und vor allem der Interaktionen zwischen diesen Phänomenen. Daher kommt der Kombination verschiedener Ansätze eine besondere Bedeutung zu.
