Abstract
After graduating from the School of Visual Arts, I started working as a designer at FSG, a literary publishing house that puts the emphasis on the content of the book, as opposed to marketing and branding. During my first few months there I mostly worked on books that were being repackaged as paperbacks, reusing the art from the hardcover. Since the budgets for these books were so low, I mainly tried to establish a grid and be creative with type.
